    Default Historic Atlantic Registry

Let's try this one more time.

I'm trying to put together a registry of Historic formula atlantics and like cars that reside in the US/Canada. They are defined thusly:

    Formula B - 1965 to 1972
    FA - 1971 to 1979 (flat bottom)
    FA - 1980 to 1989 (tunnels)
    FIA F2 - 1967 to 1984

If you have one please visit http://fattogatto.com and register. I'll approve your registration ASAP. Then you can go to the Forums section and add your info in the Formula Atlantic section. At the current time we are looking for marque, year of construction, chassis number and owner with location. You may add any pertinent info you wish.

    Cheers

    Tim,

What was the construction date of the tub? Was it a last run of the 1989 DB-4 tubs? If that is the case then it would qualify just as the Reynard 89/90 qualifies as it was designed in 1989 and the /90 designation was a continuation concept. The 1989 date was chosen to keep the RT-40/41s, and Ravens, etc. out.

YES it was one of the last 89's...my understanding was they really did not produce any 1990 DB4's...however...???

    However . . . ? What?

If they did not produce any 1990 tubs then it isn't a 1990 car.

Is it a continuation of the 1989 design . . . or were there significant performance enhancements over the 1989?

    Charles,

Since your going to the trouble of setting up the registry possible you will consider the newer TOYOTA powered cars such as the mentioned Raven, Rt40/41 and the unmentioned XFR.

NO same it did not change any after 89...that is what I have both understood and told...the RT's where so far advanced it obsoleted everything after 90....again just what I have been told....and David B really stuck with what worked!

While I have no problem keeping the records, the purpose of the registry is to annotate the Historic Atlantics. Anyone with an atlantic is welcome to add their cars to the general list.

That should be easy to verify, I would think.

Apologies to all. This registration problem has been fixed as of 10:00 AM Central Time. During the period of inactivity shutting down the registration process was the only way to keep the bleedin' ruskies out of the system.
