    Default FC Zetec Weight

    I believe Zetec is 1,240....

    Pinto is 1,190
    Pinto w/aluminum head is 1,215

John La Rue came up with the correct answer:

    1220 lbs.

    Thanks John

1240 lbs min weight is for Zetecs in the F2000 Championship Series, not Club Racing. Pintos in the Series are 1210 lbs. Its the same 30 lbs split, just higher overall weight because of the heavier Hankook tires.

Thanks Bob and Matt. I guess I wasn't clear. I am interested in the SCCA spec. Hell would have to freeze over before I would race in the Pacific 2000 and gas would have to go down to $1 a gallon before I could make it to the east coast series, so I am kind of stuck. Douglas

    Default SCCA specs

Bob what are your thoughts on the possibility of the SCCA comp board following suit with the F2000 Pro series weight limits for the club FC class? Just curious...not trying to start anything...

Our weights are in line with current SCCA GCR weights, but compensating for the Hankooks, which are 18 lbs heavier than a set of GYs (and even more than Avons).

At the 30lbs spread, observation, interview and in-car camera says we have the Pinto/Zetec equalization almost spot on, so we're not likely to change relative weights at this juncture. If tire weight changes, or when we see an ALU Pinto head, we'll revisit the whole thing.
