Who's going? I will probably be there driver coaching or something like that. Let's see who will be there.

gee cole. could ya coach me?
mark d
Mark, you are beyond help, and I don't have access to a psychologist at this time. Sorry.
Mark
If you guys are coming down for the nationals our team is prepared to pay you a substantial sum to keep the mouth under the St. Clair tent.
gee jim, i'll see what i can do.
unfortunately, mr jordan will not be making this trip. he has some non-racing issues to contend with. it'll just be mr cooper and myself.

Welcome back everyone!
I am planning on being in attendance as well. I am interested in seeing how a Zetec w/SCCA FC mapping really does w/the Pinto. Of course, I'm hoping for the best
Not that I'm the best driver to use as any type of real comparison in performance differences, but I am looking forward to getting back on track.
I hope to arrive sometime on Thursday, late afternoon.
See ya!
Peace

It might be safe to enter now that Cole is not driving...
rivet, rivet.
My son, Stephen, will drive the 32F New Years weekend at Moroso in the double SARRC - that will get the "X" off the car for him - and then Eye'll drive it at Sebring. While many will not bother with the New Year's regional/divisional event because the Central Florida and Florida Nationals are the following two weekends - the idea of a race that fits the schedule of a college student out on break is perfectly timely for him. Between him running a test day and the races and then my finishing off all tires at Sebring, Eye'll in a position to make good on my word to rebadge the Crossle back to Club Ford for the season......Joe911 is now running CF too.......so we're making good on what was agreed on at SIC.....now it's up to those in the northern area of the SEDIV to come on down to Florida as per the SIC discussion.
GR:
It will be good to see you on the track, I could keep Bill in sight at the Thanksgiving race, and the 10Tenths guys kept me going for Sunday. I really owe them. Will be there Thursday also.
It is also good to see Mr. Defer coming down as well. Right now there are more FA's registered than FC's. Several recient Florida purchases should add to the FC group next year.
Happy Holidays to all,
Lyn Pollock
Lyn,
Thanks. I am looking forward to strapping in a car, instead of an Operating Stewards chair
It will be great to see Mark again too. Always a class act. One of the nicest guys I have met racing. And the St. Clair entourage always makes for good story lines for Frog
I was kinda bummed to hear Mr. Jordon can't make it. And Cole on the sidelines......... Boy, I bet that hurts. But hey, he can fill us in on how his testing went with the Mustangs!!
It is always great when the guys from up north come down. They are a great group and always make me step up my game to try to hang with them. Usually, though, they take me to school, but hey, I love it anyway.
If we can manage it, maybe our ApexSpeed contingent can get together while everyone is down and do some bench racing between our on track activities.
I'll volunteer our paddock area.
Peace

GR, for like say maybe $15 could you black flag a certain FC with a certain old guy in it on say the second lap at Moroso so he doesnt have a chance to break anything? Thanks...
Let's talk at the track

Alright, I'll meet you behind turn 9.
Any news on time trials yesterday? Maybe some race results later.

Mark H,
The top three were Cole Morgan, Chris Fahan and Mark Defer.

Is anyone running the new aluminum head?
The first aluminum heads won't be ready until March at the earliest.

Correction Rob, I had about a 12 sec. lead after 3 laps but a leaky radiator ended my day early. On to Homestead.
Cole,
I was trying to remember the qualifying off the top of my head. Wasn't there for the race.
Drop me an email and I will forward those Runoffs pics.

Oh ok, sorry Rob. Check your e-mail.
OK, so it was my first time at Sebring... but... there are three things i would immediately change if I were Central Florida Region.
1. Buy a copier and produce copies of the results that drivers can pick up at the tower. It's done everywhere else I race. It is 2007. Noon on Monday already and it's not on Mylaps.
2. What is with the crappy scale pad area? Crude would be a nice description. Nothing like having to drive across Baja to get on and off the scales, and dragging the bottom of your car the whole time.
3. There is miles and miles of WWII concrete in the paddock. Soooo ... impound is on grass and gravel? Really nice place to roll hot sticky race tires. Not.
CFR, catch a clue.
Congratulations to Chris. Sorry to hear about Cole and Mark D's troubles. Thank god it was not the traditional crash fest we have seen the past 2 years. Chris tells me that you actually got to race some green flag laps. Look forward to hearing about Homestead. Good luck to all
Great questions and weve wondered the same things for....4 years. But the track itself is still very fun isnt it.
I'd add 1 item to your list; Why cant specators get over to the green course park as some of the best viewing areas are there, like the hairpin and the esses. Always closed for full course race weekends.
But we had 85 degrees and Sunshine. And a buffet hosted by GR that rivaled anything Ive ever seen at a race track.
Froggy:
If you ever run the short course-you will see what a treat the paddock is in that configuration.
real scales...plural. brilliant. but then gone are the days when you can lean forward while standing up in the cockpit and then lean a littel back when the rear axel is weighed.....oh there's a rule that would cover that now.
Man, this was a weekend for the record books for me for sure. The stars just were not in my galaxy..... let alone my constellation
The saving grace for the whole three days was having a great group of guys to hang with in the paddock, and to see others racers I haven't seen in a while You all know who you are. Thanks for your friendship!!
It was cool to see Sean win the very first FB, F1000 (or whatever they end up calling it), SCCA National race in the country!! A well deserved honor for a great guy who put everything on the line in a personal effort creating one of the first cars like this. I have a lot of admiration for his abilities to create his vision.
Neat to see Frog notch off another of his "I should do this before I go" list too . His purpleness is always a welcome paddock experience Sorry I did not see you before we left Frog. You must have been off socializing when we pulled out.
Sebring was once again Sebring for our race group. A lot of parts in trash bins as the sun set on Sunday. Hope Homestead is a bit more friendly
Peace

Mark, I sure did expect a closer game but was very happy to see my Gators chomp the buckeyes. Have fun down south, and no the beaches are NOT nude beaches so keep your banana hammock on. and tell jose to work on the tan line.
cole -
"your" gators? did you transfer to the university of florida?
better luck this weekend (as long as you finish behind the st. clair boyz).
yes, my gators! i live in gainesville so they're mine! jacka$$
