I am thinking to buy transport wheels.
I currently use the "basket straps" over the slicks which then secure at a point about two feet out from the tire....or the 3" wide strap over the top of the tire and then the strap secures straight down to a mounting point right below the tire. I would guess I can still use the basket straps over the transport wheels but maybe not because they mount the couple of feet away from the wheel. It would seem the 3" wide strap going straight down is out of the question on a transport wheel.
How should one strap down transport wheels?
I would think I can get the short [15"?] two ended with D rings axle wraps [i guess they're called] and mount through the spoke of the transport wheels.......but that raises the question of > the wheel spoke or its outer wheel can take the force of potentially hundreds of pounds more than the mere weight of that corner of the car in a panic stop?
I shall ask a commercial manufacturer and maybe get advice at the PRI show but I wish to also learn the collective knowledge of the site. Thanks.
