    Default Don't call freightliner Jim

Had a pretty unpleasant talk this guy.
Doesn't even know what a Formula Ford is.
I've seen his posts and thought I'd give it a go.
Don't bother! Plenty of reputable companies out there
    IMO of course.

I also had a rather unpleasant conversation with Jim a few months back. I got a price of $1500 from a local broker who I have used in the past to move a Formula Ford from CA to FL. Jim had posted that he was in CA so I call him to see if he wanted to move the car to FL for $1500. He basically called me an idiot for even considering using a broker with such a low price quote. After telling me everything that could possibly go wrong, he then told me he was not interested and hung up on me. I used the broker and got the car 8 days later in perfect condition for the quoted price.

    YMMV, Joe

If I had to bet that car is just a Van Diemen FF2000 with wider than euro spec sidepods, with the appropriate required VW parts substituted for whatever was on the car as a FF2000. IIRC, the euro F2000s ran sidepod ground effects for a while. If you look at pics of those:

Its origins were as a modified, tube-frame Formula Ford.
    Edit: Meaning FF2000
