    Default FRP vs SCCA

I’ve never raced in FRP and I’m curious about people’s impressions. I’m scheduling my races for the year and realized the Road Atlanta races are two weeks apart. I did Road Atlanta with SCCA last year and only 4 FAs showed up. Do FRP events have better car counts? Same amount of track time/races as SCCA?

Hi. You might take a look at:

    Formula Race Promotions | F1600, F2000, & Atlantic

Peruse the results pages, and the past schedules. We try to offer 3 hrs. of track time per weekend per run group, sometimes 2.5 hrs, not including any test days/sessions. Compare this to about 100-110 minutes at a typical Super tour weekend. Sebring HST event was 4 sessions in a three-day weekend.

F1600 has three races per weekend, F2000/Atlantic has two.

Exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ll be signing up for Road Atlanta. Thanks for the info.

Ask the formula guys who went to Homestead and Sebring SCCA this month how that went.

Don’t know anyone who did those events. What was the issue?

we opted for private testing instead thankfully, I’ll let those who told me their stories post here so I don’t accidentally bias it.
