    Default Livery Designer

I just got a new car and looking to have a custom livery made. Anyone have recommendations for livery designers? Do they handle printing the vinyl and then I need to find a local installer? Any idea on costs?

I would go to my local community college, the one with a graphics design faculty, and ask the faculty head if there was a class that would like to take on a special project. You would be amazed at how excited students can get about doing something different that they can not only show off in their portfolio, but they can also see in practical use in the real world. I'm not saying that they would spray/print/cut/install the vinyl for you (I have no clue), but they could come up with amazing liveries for you to choose from for....next to nothing.

I’ve made my living solely in the Arts since 1975 — including liveries (see Brix Racing Camel Lights 1993, for one, we won IMSA’s Best Appearing Team award).

I’d be happy to do this at a reduced fee befitting our reduced overhead, since we’re traveling and I have a graphics studio onboard.

The only thing I can’t do is produce complex art with compound curves to work with a vinyl plotter, but a good vinyl shop should be able to if they can take critical measurements.

This is *not at all* to say that it can’t be done with basic measurements, and a layout not requiring compound curves and such.

    Recommended for the vinyl output:
