Default 1979 Lynx FSV for Sale

    1979 Lynx D Super Vee

Car is back on the market due to the fatal shop accident of the previous buyer.
Posting for a friend. PM me for information. Ken Lawrence
Car is located in Florida. Contact M. Davey (585)721-1231 for sales

One of a kind car. Manufacturer’s Identification number is 78-19. SCCA log book (ID No. 79 114)
Car was campaigned in the Bosch Gold Cup Series and the USAC Mini-Indy Series from 1979 thru 1981. Driven by John Kalagian in 1979-80, and by Roberto Boffi in 1981-82. Since then, it has been sitting gathering dust. Therefore, the car will need to be completely gone through in detail.

Features, specs, options: Bob Riley / John Mills design.
    o 1600cc water-cooled Heidegger VW engine
    o Full-length monocoque tub
    o Inboard rear brakes
o Everything below center of wheels
o Two different styles of nose cones, as well as several splitters
o Nose cone mold for "sports car" style nose

Extensive spares including body panels (some brand new, never used), spare suspension parts, gears, aluminum wrenches, several different rate coil springs, Castor/Camber gauge, safety wire with tool, along with general hardware (spare nuts and bolts, jam nuts, tappet spacers).
Both noses are included with the car including spare noses and a nose mold.
White pic. is early/first owner/driver/trim.....green is later/current with present owner/driver... Had 2 nose designs....decided that road course nose (on car now) worked best on both road and ovals.

Hi Ken, you have to join the site to see your page.

Hate hearing the circumstances, and saw the car race then.

Significant car, best of luck, and condolences.

    Default Lynx FSV

I was just in contact with the owner. I would have thought a Bob Riley fan would have scooped up this one-of-a-kind car by now! I'm attaching a couple more pictures from Ken's link above.

What a cool car, Thanks Garey.

I think it was black in the day and used Kalagian’s standard number — 19.

    Default Lynx

Thanks for the note, if I wasn't 83 I would have the car in my shop. Bob was a friend from my early SCCA racing days. He left me a Lotus 23 that is being restored now.
