This is the car that Jeremy Treadway ran in the lead of the 2005 Runoffs until a cam sensor went bad and put him out of the race. The car then did very light track day duty from 2006 until 2013 when it was put into storage due to the owners health. This car has been almost completely bulletproof and really easy to maintain. Nothing loosens up on it and it really doesn't wear anything out except chains which we found that by Cryo treating cheapo non O-ring chains, they stretched less and lasted longer than the expensive ones. This car will fit very large drivers.
In the sister car to this one, I ran a guy that was 6' 4" and 285lbs with absolutely no complaints of discomfort. I pulled the car out of storage two months ago at the owners house. I drained fluids, put a fresh battery in it, primed it and fired it up. The thing sounds as wicked as I remembered it always being with its George Dean ZX12 engine. Uprites have been updated to FastForward bearings, drive flanges and stubs by Doug. Carbon body that's near perfect. Fire system is in the green. It's going to need belts, fresh rubber and a normal pre race prep. This car is an incredibly easy car to maintain. I'd prep the car, load it in the owners trailer and send him on his way to go and do 2 and 3 day track events by himself. With absolutely no mechanical ability other than being able to fueling it and making sure it had some air in the tires, he'd always bring it back running and in one piece.

It's flat bottom so I think chassis wise, yes. As far as the ZX12 engine, I don't know.

Assuming that all other P2 requirements being satisfied, it would seem to fit under Line B.5 in the P2 Engine Table but the engine cannot be modified.

That's interesting. Honestly, I've not picked up a SCCA GCR in about 10 years and have no intention on picking one up in the future so I have no clue. All my customers have switched over to Vintage/Historic racing.
What I do know about this car since I'm the only person that's ever maintained it is that it's possibly easier to maintain than a Club Ford and just as reliable.

If you have not looked at a GCR in 10 years, then you probably missed seeing any of the P1/P2 changes when CSR/DSR were replaced. Since this car was a CSR/DSR, then the basic construction/safety is probably acceptable. Will attempt to summarize some of the simple rules for P2 that I had to consider to convert my old WF1 from P1 to P2.

Engine rules vary but your engine fits (line B.5) but the engine cannot be modified. Throttle Body Restrictor size is 33mm and the min weight w/driver is 1185. Although you say this is a George Dean engine, you do not say whether it is modified or not.

Rear Wing is limited to fitting within a 6x12 box which amounts to a 13.25 chord. Can be either single or with a flap. Wing end plates are limited to fitting within a 14" square. From the pictures, it would seem that the wing is OK. Did not see any wing end plates.

Rear diffuser cannot start its upsweep until the leading edge of the rear tires. Cannot see what your diffuser configuration is like from the picture. I used some tunnel blockers to transform the 2006 WF1 style diffuser to meet this requirement.

Brakes lights are no longer required. Rain lights are required.

There is a Table 1 (Spec Line Cars) section for some older cars (AMAC, Cheetah, etc). Although this car is not mentioned, it would seem to be similar to those cars. It might be a simple matter to get it included. David Arken could comment better on that. If it were classified as a spec line car, the min weight would be reduced.

It would run in P1 at 1075#. But I was answering Tony Bronco's question regarding P2. But you have never said if the engine was modified or not.

Well Rick, I'm sitting in the middle of the paddock at Sebring right now and then a few days next week on the gulf catching fish. I'll be in the shop on the 4th. All deliveries are being dropped at a neighboring business so it shouldn't be a problem while I'm gone.
