This place is dead for F500

Everybody on here is afraid to post what they are thinking because at the whim of the the moderator, you can be dismissed just like that.

And I see that there is some activity on facebook, but those postings are hare to follow as they are serial and you have to go thru all of the post to see if anything is new. Big waste of time.

You'd be hard pressed to find a moderator that walks as fine a line as ours. People get warned, they get tolerated, and if they still insist on crossing the line, well then they get scarce for a while. Seems to work pretty well.

Sorry that Facebook is hard - my kids tell me nobody under the age of 30 uses it anyways, so it'll pretty much go away eventually.

I've no way to know what you posted that was edited/deleted, but 24,000 members and 600,000 posts suggests the forum is working well.

The mods/administrators are human, therefore there is some discretion that comes into play from time to time. I'm at 5600+ posts over the last 18 years. I have been involved in a whole lot of controversial discussions on this forum. I have received two warnings during that entire time, each for insulting another forum member.

I'd suggest that it's not the opinion(s) that's likely to get your post edited/deleted or your hand slapped, but rather how those opinions are expressed. That's just my experience here.

I saw a couple of your posts before they were zapped. They were very clearly out of bounds for this board. Politics belong on other sites; there are plenty where you can express your opinion.

If you have actual F500 questions/comments/information, this is the place to be.

So how is posting that the president was at the Daytona 500 political?

Ok Richard, I've given you a lot more leash than most new to the forum, but every post you make is trolling and flame baiting. It's not what you say, it's how you say it, and I've been around enough forums for the last 25 years to know a troll when I see one. This post did nothing but make people irritated, including me. All of it is completely unnecessary. If you are trying to get banned, you've done a fantastic job.

If you can't play nice—and it's obvious that you can't—then you can't play here on ApexSpeed.
