    Default Swift DB-1 SOLD

SOLD- Swift DB-1: $10,000 or nearest reasonable offer.
Retirement from my job and relocation to an area with little sportscar racing forces sale of a well-taken care of Swift. The chassis (057 85) is straight - previously driven/owned by Brandon Dixon. The engine is exceptionally strong, built and maintained by Rollin Butler. With six race weekends and two one-day time trials, it is in need of a rebuild. The chassis and engine come with: Pace oil pump; HyTech headers; AIM data acquisition; Penske double-adjustable shocks; four Panasport wheels and four additional Panasports with mounted rains - old but serviceable; aluminum radiator; Petronix ignition; comfortable, upholstered seat; and many modifications to make the car more reliable; lighter; and easier to drive. The Swift is now eligible for SVRA events. With the Swift come a good nose, about 10 gear sets, rod ends for conversion to pre-spec tire settings, set-up and repair notes for the last several years and misc. bits and pieces. Open trailer with new tires and electric brakes also available for sale. The vehicle and trailer are located in coastal Maine about 60 miles northeast of Bangor.

Contact Adrian Aveni directly by phone or e-mail for more information: aaveni@jsu.edu or 207-546-2425 (leave a message). Additional photos available for interested buyers.

I raced against this car for many years. Always well maintained. Adrian didn't miss many sessions due to mechanical problems. This is a steal

Price has been reduced $500 since last offering and several thousand since initial offering. Would like to sell it soon.

How has this car not sold at this price? DB1s are still plenty quick. These cars are still more competitive than most drivers on the grid can drive them. If it wasn’t for my height, I would probably still have mine.

It is a great deal, but I don't have the room. Fortunately, I have a few years yet before Will belongs in a FF....

I'm sure with your engineering skills, you could rig him up some training wheels!

I heard that Mark Davison is 6'6", if I remember correctly. The height is less of an issue as wide shoulders. But I think people much over 6' and shoes bigger than 10 or 11s are going to be more creative. Mark really wanted it!

    Oh, I didn't know that. Where there's a will, there's a way!
I think my friend (and first car dealer) Tom C told me about modifying the bodywork but I didn't remember that he lengthened it too. Basically a DB3 by wheelbase!

That came out a little confusing....car listed here is not Marks car. Marks car is not for sale. This car is and, in theory, could be made longer. In these self quarantine times projects like race cars are a great distraction. Sorry for the confusion.

Regarding Adrian's car here, I believe it has been sold (I asked him last week) although perhaps he won't be able to confirm this until it gets picked up. But there are at least two other DB1s currently for sale if someone were interested!
