    Default 1984 Reynard FF

I purchased this Reynard two seasons ago, trying to recapture my youth. It was sold to me as a series champion, last raced in 2001 somewhere in the Northeast. It has been stored ever since. It is in as raced condition, after a season of racing. I have put about 3 hours of track time on it. It is not a "clean" car, so if you are looking for something for friends and fans to rave over, this is not it. But it is solid and reliable, I think. The Farley engine seems very strong to me, but what do I know---I last raced in 1983, when 6200 was all we reliably got from these engines without breaking a crank. Last time out the tach quit working (the cable does not turn) but otherwise all is well. Two sets of Hoosiers on Panasports, bought used last year, and good at least for track days. One set of rains, but hard as rocks; essentially unusable. I have all log books, and setup charts as well. There are 11 spare gear sets, plus 4 in the car. Spare body parts: nose, side panels, engine side panels, engine back cover. Two spare radiators, plus miscellaneous, as pictured. Also Supertrapp muffler, not installed. I am pricing the car fairly (in my opinion) at $8500, but if you think i am in need of reality therapy, feel free to administer it in the form of an offer. I may be able to help with delivery, depending on where you are.

I have no idea; I hadn't thought in those terms. I will listen to an offer.

@dccooper I have a friend who might be interested. Can you confirm that the car is in South Dakota? Also, what work did you do to the car after 15 years of storage before you put it on track?

    Thanks,
    Dave

Very interested in the car. I am very broad shouldered and have not found a car that I can comfortably sit in if it is possible to find out the width at the shoulders? There strangely is no Reynards racing here in southern California to try and sit in first otherwise I would try that.
    Thank you in advance

Yes, it is indeed in Sioux Falls, SD. I awakened it from its long slumber by changing all the fluids, checking all fasteners for tightness, checking the brake pads, and replacing a rusted freeze plug.

You're in Sioux Falls too? Never thought I'd bump into a local on these forums.

Having raced an 83 and an 86 which are virtually the same as an 84 in cockpit demensions, I think you find it one of the roomier cars.

    Good afternoon,
I tried to PM you but got a message saying you do not recieve PM messages. My email is FrankMoniseMotors@hotmail.com i am specifically looking for the width at the shoulders. I honestly do not know if Reynards are known for being larger cars like a Zink but would like to persue this car.
    Thank you again

my first car in 1992 was an 84 Reynard. I have very wide shoulders and the Reynard was way, way more comfortable than the Swift’s I had later and even better than the Crossle 32 I had. Very forgiving car.

Default Is this car still for sale

Hello. Could you tell me if this car is still for sale?
If so would it be possible to meet you between Sioux Falls and Indianapolis and what would you need to do this.
    Cheers
