For Sale 1969 Caldwell D9 Formula Ford Rolling Chassis

This complete 1969 Caldwell D9 chassis is recent barn find and, as they say on American Pickers, it is totally "farm fresh" not even having been cleaned up. It's in need of total restoration or simply as a complete spare parts chassis. While lots of surface rust there are no real major rust issues. The frame is in very good shape and the rolling chassis is complete with all four corners. No drive train or body.

$5,500 Nay, now $5,000, located in Colorado. Call Pete Christensen 970-631-5610 with questions.

I think there are. They made 103 of the D9s so. . . someone must have molds. But we'll check around and post. If any ApexSpeeders know of any sources, please post. Thanks.

P.S. And yes, the D9 is one of the prettiest FFs around. And that's coming from an avid Titan MK6 owner.

Also T-Zero: http://t-zeroracing.com/index.html. They do nice work, have three cars themselves.

There's also a guy up in Canada but shipping is more expensive than the product.

Jay Creech bought out Bob Adkins operation and all motorsports work is done in the same facility where Bob still works in a part time portion. Both guys are top notch and while each are fully capable in all aspects, Jay is really talented in the body/composites side and Bob is more of a driveline specialist. I have two D9b's with brand new bodies. This is the very operation that built the fastest D9b in the country as driven by Ryan Lewis.

Here are the Canadian contact numbers that Tim gave me when I bought his car. Keep in mind this info is from 1998. Dick Baker, phone # 613- 967 2929 Ontario, Canada. Has molds for Caldwell body parts. Brad Baker, phone# 905- 725 6561, c/o Kerr Industries at 635 Farewell Street, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada LIH6N2. As of 1998 Brad was making body parts for his father.

The Bakers were a strong team. Dick was the Dad and sons were Dean and Brad. Dick is deceased now and sons may or may not be racing much anymore. It is noteworthy that the Caldwell molds they used may have been from Bob Adkins Racing back in the late 90's as Bob did a lot of work for them. Bob Adkins Racing has now become Creech Racing and is operating in same facility... I had two new complete bodies made from Bob and Jay and new molds were made because of my order...
See the above post for Jay's phone number.
FYI, I bought a 1969 Merlyn MK11A from the Bakers and they are great people!

    thanks
