In this photo, is the drivetrain fully installed? I ask because I don't see any part of it.
With our Scorpion's bodywork, which is roughly similar to yours, we had to cut a big hole on top behind the main hoop for the MC. It needs the hole anyway to let the hot air out quickly.

Jim, does you engine sit up that high ,or is it to clear the intake stacks?

The MC is lowered as far as possible with a 2.5" tall oil pan but the top of the injectors along with the OEM air box still stuck up above the bodywork, thus, the need for the hole. The hole does help to exhaust the heat.

body #2 delivered today - #3 is in process
Here is Car #2 with the body in place. It dropped right on with only minor sanding to clear a weld. Fitting the body on the build table makes it very easy to set the correct heights for the side pods and nose. Jay is praying that it all fits together. Nice parts Mike!

We just delivered Chris Ross's brand new Nova Blade to him today and he is on his way back to North Carolina. Complete car weight just under 600lbs without fuel or water.
Now back to prepping the other cars we are building. We should be testing with Calvin Stewarts car and ready for testing by the end of Feb.
Car #3 will be ready for pickup next weekend. Then on to building the next 2 cars of our 5 car production run.

Yes Chris you are correct. The front suspension does not have shims for camber adjustment. I tried to do it with shims but could not due to package issues. The camber change for 1/2 turn of the outer rod end is .28 deg. Of course this camber adjustment requires an adjustment to the toe but we know how many flats on the tie rod gets the toe right where it is supposed to be so it is actually a very easy adjustment. There is an adjustment that allows for much finer camber adjustment but I think that about 1/4 degree is good enough.
Of course I could have designed it so that shims could have been used for finer adjustments of camber but I decided that it was not worth the extra costs.
In fact most current F1 cars also separate the camber and the toe but both are adjusted separately with shims for both adjustments.
I did not see the pressurized air intake on any of the bodywork. Is it still part of the design? Is there even the most remote chance that the bodywork can be adapted to my Novakar?

We will have a purpose built airbox and will show it when we debut the car.
I really doubt if the body could be adapted, but we could try.
What about just adapting the air box to existing Novakars?
OK, Jay, inquiring minds want to know where in NC Mr. Ross lives! As one of the Novakar "founders" (think, Epee – saw the pic of you and Dave – Man, we look old now!), I'd love to go see the latest from the brain trust.
Now that I'm finally getting my Prod car back together, you go and build some of these!

We have over 40,000 views. We are about 1 or 2 weeks away from testing Calvin Stewarts new Blade.
We will be posting lots more pics very soon.
We finally made it to the track for a very short test session last night at Gingerman Raceway. We arrived at about 5:30 pm unloaded, put some fuel in the car and got about 15 laps in in 3 very short sessions. We made multiple setup adjustments after each of sessions 1 and 2. The car was fast and never missed a beat. Man 14,500 rpm sounds sweet. If I could post a video I would.
