Stealing from the new Radon
After studying the 2010 McLaren it was decided that we (Cap'n Morgan and myself) needed to move the ol' Reynard into the new millenium. Being in the deep South, driver cooling is a major concern, as is getting cool air to the carb. ;) Our windtunnel test showed a high pressure area on top of the nose, so we are able to draw air in at that point and distribute it to the driver and carb. The driver can control the flow by squeezing his knees together. Just ignore the details behind the valve cover, that part of the picture was supposed to be cropped out. That is the new hallow rear wing mount and rain-light support. We are working on the correct diffusing angle to stall the upper element of the rear wing, but of course, only if we run in FS. ;)
It is going to take another 'bottle of refinement', and a few zip-ties to get the prototype ready for track testing.

Great dream while it lasted...
Sounds like you had some fun with the youngsters... :D
Any chance of you doing the Kershaw SARRC?
Gorgeous car, buy the way...
10 hrs for us too...
How 'bout this--win the SARRC this year & do the RunOffs in 2011...:D Are there enough Nationals left in the SE to qualify for 2010 anyway? Don't have the schedule in front of me.
Anyway, hope you can make it. Look at it this way--yet another chance to WHOOP up on the "purple pretender" :o
