Teamswanson plans to make the trek to Road America from Florida for the Formula Ford 40th anniversary celebration. We'll be looking for possible opportunities after the race weekend is over for racing or golf, whatever presents itself, on the way back home. Any suggestions?
Oops, looks like I posted on the wrong thread. Let me try it again...
I think I need that vertical piece of wood...
I will be bringing my new paint job :checkered:
Cool!
The Tiga has a bit more wear (and I have a bit more ballast) than in 2004 - 05...
Oh, and I just realized two other 40th's are happening this year -- the first moon landing, and ME!
The 40th Formula Ford Reunion Commemorative #40 Lola T440 restoration is finally finished & ready to head north for the largest FF gathering of all time. This vintage car is Monoposto FF70 legal and is for sale. It can be seen at the Carl Haas/Lola tent throughout the weekend. Check out the restoration photos in the 40th FF reunion market thread. The hot Georgia sun is so bright today my little Brownie camera washed out the glossy paint reflections. It looks much nicer in person.
"She looks like a woman but walks like a man,
Oh my lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola"
Scott, The car looks great. We should have some fun in the FF70.

Scott,
Your Lola FF looks great. How much?? Been looking at the possibility of an FF. Was hoping you might be running it in some Monoposto events or maybe see you with it and the Ralt in SCCA before the end of the season.
What happened with the Ralt at Road Atlanta last weekend?:(
Hey Chris, Thanks for the comment. I just listed the Lola on Ebay with many pictures & details, item number: 160350368680
The Rd Atl weekend started out great with a perfect test of the Lola on Friday & then qualified the Ralt/Hayabusa FS car on the pole 2.4 seconds ahead of a field of FE's, FM's & an ASR. Lead the first 4 laps until in Turn 1 when the 26 year old left rear stub axle decided it had enough & snapped off flush with the jam nut. I've got 2 new ARP stub axles on order & am looking forward to the next dbl SARRC at Barber Sept 4-6. You going to be there?
Hi Scott,
Went to ebay. The Ford looks fantastic.
Had wondered what happened to you at Atlanta after looking at MyLaps seeing 1:26+- in quailifying then a DNF . Turn one. What a thrill. Glad that nothing else bad happened.
Not planning on being at Barber unless as a spectator or in your Ford. The engine in the Swift is tired, but still has great leak down. Trying to decide on which last race I'll do in it this year. Thinking the ARRC just so I can keep you honest. Also, am trying to decide what to do afterwards. Have been thinking about Fords for the economy of it if nothing else.
Chris, the Lola FF sold while I was at the 40th, so I had to be extra cautious & let the other vintage guys reap the glory.:o It was still a blast & a honor to be in the event. As far as the ARRC, yes - bring your DB4 FA with the tired engine, it should be a good match for my Ralt SV with the stock Hayabusa.;)
Hi Scott,
Congrats. I figured it was sold once it came off ebay. The car got lots of photo press while up there. Looks great.
Will see how things work out for the ARRC. Would be fun to run with you again.
