John Webb

To those of you old enough to recall, John Webb passed, age 92. Genius promoter and founding father of FF, F2000, S2000 and FA amongst many other accomplishments. We would not be here without him. Remembered by FFCS in its annual awards with the John Webb trophy. Obituary on Autosport.com.

I was shocked I’d barely heard of him before, especially being widely considered as the founding father of FF, which I recalled, but also F5000, Atlantic as you said, plus FF2000 and other formulae, S2000, and even Thundersports.

What an influence, of my deepest respects. And what a tenure of time he practiced over.
