Engine valve train recommendation
Hello, any advise with this?
I am bulding an engine somehow similar to a Super Vee engine. And in doubt with which cam/compression ratio/valve size configuration to use. (Mexican f1800 series based on formula vee chasis)
Rules say it shold be 1.8 vw 8v watercooled with oem stroke/bore. Bocar 34 pict 3 carb with 1.6 manifold with 33 mm restrictor plate. Camshaft is free of choice as the valve sizes and compression ratios. Head can be mechanical or hidraulic tappet.
All this leaves a lot to think, no one has achieved big difference in power. Winning engines use 10 to 1 compression with 38x33 valves and 49c oem camshafts slightly modified.
This is the technical data:
DESIRED ENGINE PERFORMANCE:
MID RANGE FOR TRACKS WITH LOW/MED SPEED CORNERS.
