Oh My God, that’s terrible! So sorry for your loss, Steve, and to all who knew him.
He ran a young friend of ours in FE2 and SRF3 in 2017, and really took care of her. Scott was obviously a great driver, but also a human dynamo and really nice guy.
Absolutely tragic news. RIP, Racer. :-(
So sad to hear, and so sudden - I guess he was at VIR, no less - enjoying what he liked best!
Had a lot of great races chasing him around, getting out of his way, trying to get just a little anywhere near his pace... he was a great inspiration... we'll miss him...:checkered:
I grew up racing with Scott. He is a year or two older than me. We raced karts in various circuits all over the North East. Scott's successes in car racing were never a surprise having known how talented and dedicated he was in karts. The Rettich family really embody what it is to be racers, and Scott was the truest of champions.
Goodspeed, friend.
Oh no! Met him this past fall at his shop. Super nice guy! Young. What happened!?
So sorry.
I just read something I won’t post and that makes this ten times worse, if true.
All I’ll add is if my art and writing services could do some good here, I am 100% in.
The sport has lost a true gentleman and an incredible talent. Rest in peace, Scott.
Very sad to hear this. So young. RIP, Scott.
