I just got word that there have been very few responses on this received by the CRB. So, if you care which way (yes or no to the proposal) this issue is resolved, let them know!
Go to this link : http://www.crbscca.com/ and fill out the form. The rules proposal is Letter #2228, and you will need to reference it.
FWIW, I voted yes, in favor of the clarification.
Doug is right on point with the statement linked below. If the FF/FC chassis rules clarification is not passed, FF/FC chassis' within the letter, but not the intent, of the current rules could become much more expensive and make current cars obsolete.

Alu front bulkheads have never been legal, and the old rules are pretty clear on that, even if not well written. No cars that I know of have only alu making up the bulkhead - even the Reynard has a steel tube across the bottom defining the bulkhead as required.
This rewrite does not mean that the classes are locked in to no future changes - I wouldn't be surprised to see a few things get proposed for upgrades in the next couple of years - even alu bulkheads.
But, if you are going to make changes, you need to know where you are to start with.
And without this rewrite we will all probably still manage to race our cars as we have done for years and the world as we know it probably won't end anytime soon....:thumbsup:
