I used one of the high temp JB Weld products to solve the exact same problem. I had low expectations, but 10 years later it’s still there.
Looking for a Swift DB1 roller (only). May consider other rollers from the same general era but prefer a DB1. Let me know what you have.

Brazing it up will work. Pre-heat the head in an over or something. Just make sure the surfaces are clean on both sides if you can.
