Car #6

Owner Name: Tom Valet

Email Address: TVJV82 at aol dot com

Location: 15 Jenna Court

Car Model: DB-1

Year: 1986

Chassis Number: 01386

History of car: This is one of the later DB-1's, it was built in 1986 and first raced in June of that year, finishing first in class and second overall in its first race in the Steel Cities Region. The original owner was Ahsen Yelkin. He owned the car for only a year before selling it to Daniel Pyanowski who appears to have run the car primarily at Watkins Glen.
In 1990 Brian Graham bought the car and raced it primarily in Ontario, Canada, winning the Ontario FF Championship and also racing the car at the SCCA Runoffs twice. In 1997 Brian sold the car to Dom Seddio, who owned it for 9 years and raced the car frequently, with Richard Leslie doing the prep work.
I bought the car in February 2006, driving down to Richard's new shop in South Carolina to pick it up and bring it back to New York. The car was in excellent condition when I acquired it, Richard had done a first rate job keeping the car in perfect running condition. I bought the car for my son Bill to race, and it is still very competitive. Bill won a NARRC Regional in this car in only his 3d race ever, and finished third at the 2006 NARRC Runoffs. This winter we are stripping the car down to a bare chassis and will be completely restoring it to as close to new as we can get.
