    Default What's the Secret?

    Ralph,

What's the secret to putting 177K mile on a GM vehicle, in the rust belt, over 12 years, and have it look like new? Do you wash it after every use? Require showers and clean clothes before entering? No shoes?

    Good luck with the sale.

    Craig

    Default Yukon

    Craig:

Thanks for the comment. I have maintained the car on a regular basis. In fact, one of our fellow racers, Mark Defer, has provided all maintenance and repairs on the car over the years. There is little sign of rust on this car other than the obvious places on the underside.

My wife will tell you I'm a bit anal about caring for our vehicles. The Cleveland winters are tough on cars but we keep it washed and are careful with the interior. That's not to say its perfect. The drivers seat shows some wear and the carpet on the drivers side is a bit tired.

It is really a pretty good looking vehicle when its clean. I added the Denali 17" rims a few years ago.

BTW, it must run in the family...my brother is driving a 1996 Suburban that looks as good as the Yukon.
