Default Seattle area help! small engine parts needed

I am desperately trying to get my FF ready for this next weekend's vintage race and I need a couple parts - hopefully someone local will have them. I don't think I have time to get them overnighted from a vendor and will drive out to someone's house if they have them.

I need a 4deg offset cam dowel and the 2 block to head alignment dowels. I suppose I don't *need* the head alignment dowels but I do need a cam dowel.

PM or email me at jallen@oz.net
thanks in advance
-John

John,

Have you contacted Jay IVEY engines down in Portland? Jay could have them up here in a day or two. IVEY (503) 255-1123

Might also try Ken Dye at D&D Fabrications. They prep/maintain a lot of FF's for SOVREN and ICSCC. D&D (253) 435-1616

Might also check with Archie Hodge but I don't have his number.

Or, Jack Scher at Blackjack racing. Blackjack Shop (206) 242-0166

Default Cam dowl

John give Al Murry a call I think there was a cam dowl in a box of leftovers I brought home from Jays. I hope to see you Friday.

thanks for the suggestions. If I don't find someone this weekend, Jay will be my first call on Monday.

Ken Dye has been my first point of contact on this project and has been an *huge* help and a wealth of information. Unfortunately he didn't have the cam dowel in his stash.

I will try and email Al, I don't think I have his phone number.

thanks again for the quick responses.

this place and it's members are amazing.

I was able to get an offset bushing from Jack Scher and Al Murray offered up an offset pin. Since Jack wasn't sure of the offset value of the bushing (the marks were not legible) I went up to Al's and now have both to work with.

Thanks again to all and especially Jack and Al. Don't let anyone tell you that racers don't help each other out.

Hi John, I hope you get it put together in time for next weekend. It would be great to have another Royale there. I still have my transponder you borrowed last year and will have it charged and ready to go if you need it.

Cheers, Stephen
