what are these for?
Test light appears to be missing a component or is for a specific application....any help?
Only markings say "keep away from moving parts"
The other is an old ash tray that twists about 15 degrees to remove from it's base...any idea on the application? Specific model or aftermarket from a certain era?
THANKS!!!

The electrical device is used to check for spark. The slotted end fits over the plug wire and the neon bulb flashes as the plug fires.

That's what I assumed, but it didn't work.
Yet, the bulb functions when one end is grounded and the other end gets +12VDC.

Think I might know what it's for. Ground one side, apply 765 kVAC to the other side, and tell me what happens.

Make sure you ground one side. You know, for safety. Don't come crying to me when your torso gets vaporized because you didn't listen.

Ashtray
We had a '65 Dodge my dad bought used in about '68 that had ashtrays like those (or very similar). Definitely aftermarket. First thing we did to that car was remove them!
