Default MOTEC CDL3 Dash

Just coming back from PRI, I'm pretty impressed with the MOTEC CDL3 Dash Logger. I wrote a short blog post about it here; something to consider for people looking at entry level data products:

Its nice to see MOTEC stepping into the club/track day market; I hope it continues to impress as we use it more.

Neel,

I've spent so little time with MoTec so I'm curious.

How is their sensor setup? Are they proprietary sensor connections, simple connectors like AIM binder, or what?

3K with the datalogging capability is pretty nice but curious if the sensors start bumping it up much more than the average system for those of use who don't have ECUs.

In the pictures, those are Deutsche DT/DTM connectors on the loom, which I think they normally use for sensor connections as well (excepting the higher end applications using Autosport connectors). Deutsche connectors are fairly reasonable and not proprietary.

No proprietary sensors. If you know the sensor cal and what wires are what, choose your connector and go.
