Pacific Formula F Super Series Heads to Las Vegas for Season Finale
Buttonwillow, Calif. (October 3, 2011) The Pacific Formula F Super Series heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Finale of it's inaugural season. Rounds 7 & 8 will be this weekend October 8 & 9 as part of the Vintage Auto Racing Association's Silver State Challenge. This will be an event that will feature the talents of Simon Pagenaud competing for the first time in Las Vegas in a Honda powered Piper.
This event has been the traditional season ender for the Pacific Formula 2000 series which has added the Formula F group this year in an effort to provide and entry level cost effective professional series for drivers of later vintage Formula F's notably Swifts, Van Diemens and Citations in addition to the new Piper.
This year Honda has also introduced the 'Fit' engine in an effort to revitalize the class in hopes of attracting new chassis manufactures to re-examine this class and begin a whole new wave of interest in this historic class that was the beginnings for many future champions in various categories such as Ayrton Senna and Jimmy Vasser.
