    Default 1985 Mondiale M85S - SOLD

    $7000
    1985 Mondiale M85S
Roller W/engine parts to start building another engine(email for engine parts list)
    Fresh rebuilt/revalved Bilsteins,
2 sets of panasports, 1 set of weller steels with rains
3 spare panasports (find a single wheel and have 3 full sets of panasports)
Spare suspension arms (email for pics and placements)
Jig for rear lower control arm to make new arms
New oil tank in 08 with spare tank
New aluminum radiator in 2007 with spare radiator
    Spare nose
Extra gearsets for MK9 plus 4 sets in the gearbox (email for list of gears)
I am sure I am missing a lot of other spares that go with the car. I need to dig through the trailer and see what I have. The car drives great and is very forgiving. I have only done 1 race weekend this year and that was at BHF in july. We ran consistent low to mid 1:15's. With a good engine and better driver I am sure this car can dip into the mid to high 14's at BHF. Great regional car that should be in the EvsW challenge races! Also have 24' enclosed trailer for sale in the general classified section

There is a few pics here on apexspeed gallery under the BHF file thanks to Doug Carter

    Default Mondiale

Oh I dunno about that Andrew, with SCCA lowering the age of drivers every few years, having 2 race cars and some karts could be the perfect situation for your little one on the way! seriously tho, good luck with the sale. I'm sure anyone whos in the market for a very inexpensive way to go pretty darn fast would be lucky to have this blue monster!

Well Ethan the VD is staying along with at least one kart. When lil guy is 4 I will have to buy a kid kart wich is significantly smaller than the full size karts! Then I'm sure if he gets serious about kart racing I'm taking a back seat from racing for a while!

I can personally recommend the kid kart / FF combo.

So let's say a guy buys this car...exactly what engine goes in it and where can you find it (them)? Not knowing much abut FF but wanting to move up to a larger car from F500....

Its the Ford 'kent' crossflow 1600 engine, from early Pinto's, before they got the 2ltr.

You can usually find the core pieces for sale on this board or on ebay or any of the engine builders likely have enough parts on the shelf to assemble anything from a solid regional motor up to a fully competitive national motor. Will depend on what your budget is and thus what will go in it.

Fully prepped used engines from carb to clutch are often for sale on this board. When I was shopping for my first engine in 2003 they ranged from $2k for a used regional motor to $5k for a used national quality motor, though undoubtedly not the top national quality. Prices have since risen due to the higher quality/cost components that are now in the recent motors. I haven't a close watch but have seen used motors from $5k-8k now.

Many of the critical parts are now available aftermarket. This includes the block, the pistons, the ally head, the crank. These components have proven to be much more reliable than the original stock components.

You can also build up your own, using the Lamont book 'How to build competitive and legal formula ford engines.'

well, it's a moot point at the moment. I was selling my F500 to seed the bigger car, was supposed to happen this weekend...but the trailer and car were stolen sometime between last thursday and yesterday....took it all.

TTT............Talked to a couple people but no takers. Joe Fishers engine would complete this package and would make a great regional FF.

    Default Still for sale?

    Andrew,

I might be heading to Elkader for the national Moto-Guzzi rally the weekend of July 9. If you still have the Mondiale I would like to come look at it if you will be around.

    Thanks,

    Kip

Car is for sale...................reality has set in and with a 1 1/2 year old hanging out with me in grandpas shop there is absolutly no time or extra funds for 2 FF's. Engine is out and is currently a roller. Motivated to move this out of the shop.

    Thanks

I can't believe this car hasn't sold yet, this is a really nice car. I've seen this car both on and off the track and is well prepared and a lot faster/more competitive than most would think.

The buyer of this car will be very happy

Will leave engine in for $9000 total. National engine built by Williams. CP pistons, scat crank etc etc. Bad part is it needs a refresh. I was going to keep this engine have it refreshed by Williams but decided it should go if somebody wants it with the car.

    $5700 roller
    $9000 with engine

    $8800 with engine.
    $5500 roller

Highly motivated to move the FF equipment out of the shop. Taken interest in another class and looking at another car. Can't pull the trigger untill this one is out of the shop!

    Williams engine $3500

Or complete car with all spares listed $7500
Let's move her down the road and out of my shop. I plan on renting a FF if I feel the need to drive one.
