    Default I'm available

If anyone has any questions regarding the history of this car, what I did to it, previous owners, etc. I am free to answer any and all questions. It is a clean car and the last time I ran at Mid-Ohio I turned a 1:35 with it and it handled great.

Default Any Questions let me know

    Fred,

I owned this car in the past and road raced it (for almost 10 years), if you have any questions please feel free to contact me via PM or email. I also found a tool I made for removing the spanner in the rear uprights on this car that is available to whoever buys this car.

    Default information on car

What would be needed to make car road race ready?

    Belts?
Fuel Cell Grade to meet new requirements?
Raise Roll Bar to meet clearance requirements?
    Fire System?
    Other issues?

    Default My 2 cents

When I ran the car 4 years ago or so it was fully compliant for road racing, I would think belts may be the only thing that might need to be updated. The rollhoop was fine and the previous owner's son who drove it was 6'3" and he had no compliance issues. Fuel cell should be grandfathered in I would think and I replaced the foam 4 years ago. The fire system is fairly new too as I had to replace it after a 5 year old sitting in the car pressed the button and set it off!

Anthony will need to keep me honest as this has been out of my hands for 4 years, I installed the aluminum head to get me closer to the minimum weight. With the aluminum head and me in the car I was coming across the scales at 1108 and that got me into the 1:35's at Mid-Ohio. The head was ported and flowed and Rex Gunning completed a complete refresh with new valve springs right before I sold it. The engine was fresh as well and I think the only time on it since then was around 8 to 10 Auto-X weekends. Clutch disc was new then as well, if memory serves me it is a 7.25 inch Tilton. Flywheel was lightened to the current minimum. Electronics beside the MSD, I had an Autometer shift light on it, gauges were analog gauges when I had it. Shocks were triple adjustable Koni's that I had Koni rebuild/dyno/tune in 2006. I turned over all the logbooks (since new) when i sold it. I sent Anthony some pictures last night so he can post mine or his.

Thanks for the compliments I was pretty proud of the way it looked and ran when I sold it. With all the great cars that the guys on this forum produce one can always aspire to improve upon ones car!

    Default Size

As mentioned above the guy I bought it from had his son driving it and he was around 6'3" and on the thin side. I ran the car with the seat that came with the car but I think if you poured your own seat, moved the pedals forward you could do it.

Not trying to mess with the sale of the car but anyone over 6' should really test fit in the car they are looking to purchase.

    Default More on it

When I sold it this car had triple adjustable Koni's on it, Taylor prepped gearbox including aluminum diff, lots of spares, Ray Grienke wiring, Red Top battery, the suspension is all nickle plated and most of the aluminum on the car has been anodized. With the suspension mods we made, springs we added and alignment we put on the car it was very fun and easy to drive. Tim (in Arkansas) also won alot of autocrosses with it and he had bought an integral first gear for it too. This is great price on this car particularly with the aluminum head and engine that is in it.

I think it was right around 930. My notes went with the car but it was in that vicinity.

    Default Roll Center

Out of curiosity, is this a FF converted from a Continental chassis and if so, was the roll center raised to above ground? Also, was the rear end of the car stiffened againt bending loads with framework from the roll hoop to the top of the diff? I'm a newbie and tring to learn what is out there.
