    Default MYLAPS Website Update

    I was looking for the results from the Birthday party and went to the MyLaps site , it has an option to upgrade so I did , now it appears that I no longer have any personal race results . Has anyone had any success with the new website ?

    they upgraded between Monday and Thursday of last week. Went thru their page and nothing works. Wrote tech support, no reply. I can't log on. It keeps taking me back to the upgrade page and sending me e-mails, but noting ever takes.

    I got the "upgrade" to work, but now I'm having the same trouble. I was able to find some old results by searching on the track name, but that's not exactly easy.

    They also still don't have a way to delete a transponder.

    Why is it that seemingly every "upgrade" involving software makes the package less functional and harder to use?

    So has anyone got the new website to work? I got the upgrade/ new account to go through but still have no idea how to get actual results by using transponder #, username, or even searching by track name. Anyone have any tips?

    It was bad before, now it's really awful.

    I highly recommend making sure you did not reuse the same password elsewhere that you used on mylaps. #1 way your accounts get "hacked".

    On other racing forums and Facebook I've seen a LOT of very upset people. If AMB/MyLaps wasn't such a monopoly, this would have been the kiss of death for most companies. I'll bet you couldn't find a person on earth happy with them right now.

    If AMB/MyLaps wasn't such a monopoly, this would have been the kiss of death for most companies.

    The website has always been problematical.....since day one.

    Good luck if you send your non working/battery style unit that won't charge back to AMB. Surprise. You would thimk that the battery would be replaceable....but no. Sending it half way around the world for the fix and not cheap. They were a rip off when they first came out and were $210.

    They consider that website improved? It's worse than the old one. I lost my results too.

    Now when you look at race results for races with multiple classes they don't show the class anymore and you can no longer display results by class. Some improvement.

    This Sux.... & I just paid nearly $500.00 for a new, rechargable unit for the Reynard & now the website is truly awful... Seriously, these things have got to cost about $50.00 to make, if that... The website is THE value, or could be... No doubt they paid some wizard of the web firm big bucks, when many on this site would do a vastly superior job for far less $$$ the whole point of these things is website access.... Truly disappointing...

    I posted on their Facebook site, and someone replied to me that new passwords had to be 8 characters, including one number and one special character. I swear I never saw those requirements, and evidently the site doesn't test the password - which explains how I get the e-mail but can't log on.

    I usually use pretty weak passwords for the majority of this web forum stuff, it's not like I'm protecting Ft Knox, and I'm pretty careful with the amount of personal info I put out there.

    At this moment our website does not provide personal race and practice results, you should however be able to view your practice results that are not personally registered .
    We are working hard to implement the personal results in the account again.
    If you are not able to view your personal practice results from your account, please provide me your transponder number, so I can look into your issue in more detail.
    We are very sorry for the inconvenience the new website may have caused.

    All you have to do is scroll through a few hundred pages of unfiltered results to find your particular poorly-labeled event. No problem!!
