Be careful packaging that compressor too tightly, they have a tendency to overheat and shut down. Same goes for the solenoid block.

If you run these compressors over 70 deg C / 160F in temperature they have an internal thermal shutdown by design. John on his new phoenix had his mounted in the side pod behind his radiator and experienced that. Which in hindsight is not the best place for it as he admitted.

Since you can run any length from the compressor to the accumulator tank, you have an entire car for mounting options ! to keep the compressor away from regular 70 deg C + temperatures

You can ultimately remove the thermal shutoff switch, which from testing has the compressor run up to 90C still without any sign of deterioration. compressor manufacturer likes to see 70C max.

Valve blocks can run in temperatures around 80/90 C MAX reliably. Geartronics does make a pro spec valve block rated for temperatures upwards of 200C if you are right near say a turbo manifold

I didn't give up on the pro shifter but after driving the citation I bought with the geartronics installed the pro shifter had to go. I can't wait to race the geartronics. That's what I can say.

I believe were we have it mounted will not experience these type of temps. Mainly in the rear diff carrier. Should stay cool. At least I hope.

Not a Stohr, but mounting the compressor in the drive box worked very well on the Citation.
