Default Mosport gets an Indycar race!

Woo Hoo! Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, always known in our hearts as Mosport, is getting the Toronto date with Indycar. That is going to be amazing.

Exotic!!! echoing thru the pine n birch trees!!!! Mollies, yes, no???? Suppose youz guyz r doing single malts, LOL ....... Now if we could get a F1 demo around the Canadian GP and Indy together, we could have a sportsman's runoff, the whole country would drain to the northeast, .......... roadracers that is .......

meant of course, 'two separate races' ........ just Primo Stuff!!! ......

me too, Provamo below!!!!! ...... without the trailer and the Corolla, a quick jog up there, pain once u hit Canada, a haul to the track from the border

They are just in the talking stages. There are some safety changes that would need to be made before IndySpec can run at Mosport.

Personally I wish they would just stay away and not pollute another great track.

Do you consider Mont Tremblant to be polluted?

No, the IRL haven't raced there. I get your point, however. At least the Panoz was attractive compared to the eye-searingly ugly Dallara.

    Default Mosport CTMP

As of today i would say the track is fine for Craftsman truck and Tudor sports cars.

A ton of work has been done but it's nowhere near Barber standards yet. They will get there.

The Toronto race has been awful for the last few years. Time to move on.

The Indy cars are quick and noisy. Guess you can't have pretty.

Default USAC (Indycars) Race in 1968

Lived in Indy for a few years in the mid-late 60s, and when my neighbor and I heard about a USAC race at Mosport, AUG 1968, off we went. Long trip, great fun and race and a longer ride home. I was 25 then, 71 now and I would do it all over again

Few pix attached to substantiate my "adventure!"

The 1995 Reynard is retired, as is the "IRL" moniker. Move on.

ChampCar raced at Tremblant in the mid to late 2000s. That must have been pretty cool.

The toe of the boot has inadequate run-off area for a FV and Indycar ran there, so anything is possible. Mosport will definitely separate the men from the boys.

If there's an FF support race, we can probably con Jim into entering fast nephew in the Mondiale.

    Hope it happens!
