As many of you know, I'm the person that did the ground up restoration on the Citation and I would love to see it back on the track soon! I spent a crazy amount of hours going over and replacing most of the mechanics of the car. It looks like Jay has gone through and freshened up all of the remaining bits.
Hi i tried to contect via ebay but it wouldn't let me (maybe because I am in Australia). do you have the history of the car, ie logbooks? can you tell me the date of its first race? Also do you think you could get it to the coast (LA) to ship to austalia?, If the history is there I am serious , i currenlty have the first Zink produced by Steve and would like a 84 , Just so you know I am not mucking you around here is steves first car http://users.tpg.com.au/normv/zink/zink.htm
This car is an 84 Citation. The front suspension is stock but the rear has been modified to a push rod bell crank system. I designed and built the parts for the conversion. This is the second car with that conversion. The other car has been very successful in Solo events.
I still have drawings, and molds for this car. Thus replacement parts are available but not in stock.
Norm,
Thanks for your interest. Yes, I have history on the car. It has three log books although the contents of the first book are missing (I have the cover with the stamps on it, etc) It appears it simply fell apart over the years.
I have the SCCA homologation certificate and the letter of manufacture from Steve Lathrop.
I also have a detailed photographic log of the car on CD from pre restoration all the way through the restoration and including the rear suspension conversion Steve did on the rear suspension.
Regarding transport to LA, yes, I am glad to work with you on that and see if we can determine a method that fits your budget. I have a place to store the car after the sale if needed and several race friends in the LA area that I believe might assist on the other end if needed.

Thank you for your interest.

Here is a link to the photos of the car, including a few from the 80's and 90's. If anyone remembers other history on the car, please feel free to share!
I am racing the SCCA double national at High Plains Raceway east of Denver on Labor Day. I have a two car hauler going and will include delivery to that event for the winning bidder.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or specific details you would like to discuss.
