Default Help - Need rear stub axle

We need a couple rear stub axles for our Euroswift 93T FC (one for the car and one for a spare). They are no longer available off the shelf. Does anyone know of where we can get them or someone who will make them for us? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

My son, also a Doug, contacted Fast Forward, but was told he does not make stub axles any more. Mainly because the cv joints with the threaded end are of poor quality these days. He said that the cv is the weak link. However, that is not in our case. Can you think of anyone else we could have make them or get them from???????

The DB1 used a VW Rabbit drive flange. Is that what you are looking for?

Since it is a Euro Swift have you tried Simon at Universal Racing Services in the UK? They are a good source for VD parts that aren't available in the US and indicate they also have parts for early Swifts. http://www.universalracing.co.uk/urs.htm#Parts

If all else fails, I can make them for you. However, for just a 2-off run, they won't be inexpensive, unfortunately.

Are you looking for the little stubs that thread on the ends of an OEM VW CV stub axle? I may have a few used ones. My car has had the Fast Forward stubs that do not use them. I have been holding onto them for spares. I think that they cam in 2 different lengths. Let me know what you need.

    Thanks
    Bob

    Hi Bob,
    Sorry for the delay.

The stub axle has a total length of 3 5/8. The image posted is of one of the damaged stub axles with some measurements.

    Is this what you have?

Also do you have any photos of the Fast Forward conversion? I'm interested to see what the conversion looks like.

Thanks so much for your help,
    Doug McKechnie

Those would be really easy to make...based on hex stock.
