    Default Jorge Segers Data Seminar

I'm hosting a data seminar that is bringing Jorge Segers, author of Analysis Techniques for Race Car Data Acquisition, to Manchester, NH on November 20 & 21. The seminar is two days and will cover the full range of data analysis topics including driver and car analysis. There will also be sections on damper analysis, IR tire temps, IR brake temps, car balance, and much more. You can find more info at http://www.trailbrake.net/jorge-segers-seminar.html and http://files.js-engineering.webnode....ure%202014.pdf

The seminar is very expensive to put together, so it will cost $1,250 a person. I've worked out a discount on rooms at the host hotel. Lunch and snacks will be provided on both days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you need more info. My email is matt@trailbrake.net and my phone is 603 - 674 - 3250.

Come on people, this can be a lot of fun and educational.
I have been told it will contain very little calculus and directly related to car setup.

    Absolutely, and I'm going again.

I think that for most, the workflow of the analysis can be pretty heavy, but with the slide presentation and the explanations, it's not too bad.

The best part about this is that the workflow is not particularly platform (hardware/software) specific. This is very important and valuable.

So few folks have a solid foundation in this until they've spent YEARS, that this seminar ramps up the learning curve tremendously. Makes a huge difference and, bottom line, allows people to drive and race quicker with less effort.

    Looking forward to seeing you.
I will try to swing by Jake's Seafood in Hull and bring up some appetizers.

I think Peter hit the nail on the head with learning the workflow and methods of an experienced professional data engineer. There is no heavy math lifting in this seminar. There are only 3 slides that involve anything over addition and they are only to explain the topic at hand.

There will also be a display by Texys Sensors along with Pierre-Alain Aucouturier that will showcase their latest technology including wireless IR temp sensors, brake caliper temp, pressure sensors, and more.

This will be a session not to miss if you are interested in learning to go faster and/or engineer your car.

A quick bump. This is going to be a great session with people from the top professional teams attending. If you are serious about your driving, you should be attending this session.

    Default Thanks

I want to thank Matt Romoman for his effort in putting together this seminar.

It was well worth the effort, Jorge Segers was a excellent lecturer and his new version of his book is very good a considerable improvement over the first edition with several new chapters.

    Thanks again Matt

It was great meeting you and talking shop. Thanks for coming!

I had very high expectations for this seminar and it exceeded them by quiet a bit. The insights and different take on analysis was really great to see. Add in the top secret DTM things that he was able to share and it was over the top.

I've been thinking about the seminar a bunch today and have a couple of ideas on how to do some more learning events going forward.
