What is the front floor extension and spacer? I have the drop floor. Is this something different?

What is the front floor extension and spacer? I have the drop floor. Is this something different?

It's the metal piece in the same plane as the floor that extends under the splitter, which is in turn the fiberglass under your feet. I used to think the metal part was the splitter, not the fiberglass. Turns out the splitter does the left/right splitting and the floor extension (which has a spacer to keep in same plane as the jabroc) do the up/down splitting.
