I was right behind Doug. He and the FA in front of him went to the inside of the faltering FA in front of them and made contact. Me and Steve Jenks locked it down trying not to hit them and bumped the wall and each other. Steve got back in and passed some cars, somehow my fire bottle got knocked and discharged and we didn't have another. Lotta work for a 200ft race.
Anyway glad Doug was OK and thanks to the workers and stewards.

Hey Dale! I was the rescue guy that hooked you up for the flat tow. Sorry to have jacked you around about where we were taking you and such. I kept getting conflicting information as to what you could or couldn't do and where they wanted you to go. I was glad to see you got the car started and were able to drive it away.
I'm pretty sure I know the post you are referring to and would tend to agree with you. I've been in a race or two where a hole opens up and you go....this is just one of those times where it didnt work out. See you at Blackhawk in August? Not sure if I'll be driving or working rescue.
Looks like I had a few details wrong; Doug launched off the car with the original problem. Yeah Brad, I'll probably be at BHF to hopefully fashion a race finish one of these days.
Congrats to the FM podium, great job guys!
