Default Grf97 fit

Started life as Van Diemen RF97 F2000 car.

Eric Langbein did the chassis mods for FIT install. Nick Fuhs did exhaust and water pipe fabrication. Most of the rest of the conversion was done in my shop.
Many new parts including anodized aluminum floor, BrittainWest front rotors, Tilton slave cylinder, Willans belts, and elliptical RaceMirrors.
Close enough to min weight with 225 lb driver that you need to check it. Widened shoulder area and custom tail. Custom side pods provide 185-190 water temps and 230s oil temps. Extensive driveline treatments discussed privately. Spare nose and nosebox.
There are some nice Purple Frog pics in the Glen thread too!http://www.apexspeed.com/forums/show...583#post352583
If you are considering your own conversion, this one is done already. Do the math, and factor in quality and cost of labor!
Comes with Aim XG Log steering display, choice of 4 gears, and two sets of newer Panasport Ultra-light wheels (with raised centers) and Hoosier rains for $42K. Extensive suspension spares package (at least one of each wishbone and pushrod, 2 bare uprights) for $2K more. For $45K, you get everything with delivery (and support) to Summit Point or Watkins Glen Pro F1600 events.

Can package components and spares starting at $40K complete or $32k minus engine.
Do the math on conversion parts, fabrication, and labor, with taxes, shipping, etc and you will understand the pricing. Available now or after the Glen.

Ha!
I have photos of that one, too, but they were pretty LQ so I was embarrassed to post them.

I don't know the history but yes this car was formerly red with scuzzy black wings. Only the nose and shock cover remain from the original bodywork.
Thanks!

After it's initial shakedown outing, this car has either won or not finished from racing related incidents (not mechanical DNFs) in 6 races. Won OFFC Toyo Series race at Calabogie on Saturday to go with 2 SCCA National wins.
http://www.eformulacarnews.com/news_info.php?n=11488

That's .... 3 wins in 6 races. It's won 100% of the races it finished .... or won half the races it started .... pretty cool

Available now or after Glen Pro race.

Default Update GRF97=FIT

Silver/black car in 3rd pic of post 11. Only seconds before the big crash in Sunday's race. Pretty good company for this fast car!

Since last post here. Pole and overall win (formula alphabet) at Glen Last Chance.
From P5 to P9 in each session at Glen Pro weekend, best lap of low 1.59, battling with Grenier and Oseth both races, but on the short end, finishing 9th and 7th.

Still available.
Before doing all the work on a conversion .... this car is ready-to-go.
Chassis mods and weight-consious assembly mean this car will take 6-2 driver and make minimum at 225 lbs. No need for 99-newer VD chassis.
1.59s @ the Glen Pro race !

Also, I would consider National-caliber kent-powered FFs or later Mygale FCs at up to half value on trade-in.

Car had some misadventure and needs a new crate engine or engine repairs. As it sits with damaged engine, packaged as noted above, $32K. As a roller, $28K.
Will deduct $1500 if without Aim system.
Parts package has grown since originally listed, and available for $2K more.
Car needs to go quickly or I will order parts to begin repairs.
Please contact me privately to discuss engine condition. Problems cannot be blamed on Honda or HPD and were entirely self-inflicted.
Thanks,

greg13rice -at- hotmail.com

BTW, Still would consider trades involving later Zetec Mygale F2000 cars.

I would love to see this car back on the track. Just too busy for that to happen anytime soon.
Open to any offers to buy, lease, or trades involving newer FC cars..

For those not aware of how well this car went in 2013, here's some video showing the fine cars and drivers just in front of it.
