Custom made Hans friendly head surround

After many hours of testing and excruciating labor my custom head surround is finished.
I wanted to create head surround that allowed me to sit as low as possible ,which meant
sitting back as far as i can ,but be able to wear Hans device comfortably.
May be this could be beneficiary to other FE guys who abandoned head surround since it was impossible to use it with Hans.
Posting pictures for consideration.

Very nice work. Can you explain a little more on how you made it? Did you use a rigid backer, then attached some impact foam and shaped as needed?

can FE use parts on the car that are not supplied by (scca) enterprise since they control all the specs on the cars?

can you make those for some older FF cars, I wanted something like that in my crossle and put much thought into how to make one.
out of curiosoity how does this attach to the car?

It was bit tricky.
Rear had to be cut to 1/4 " thickness in order to have space required for Hans and helmet.
Then floated with 3000 psi clear epoxy for rigidity.
Then marked sides for Hans tether pin locations and cut them out .
Keeping inside foam balls in tack by strip of tape cut out areas also flooded with 3000 psi clear epoxy.
Then painted ,dried and using 1/4 " black yoga matte material , glued with clear liquid nails to inside of surround for scratch protection.

Will post pictures with Hans and helmet on for visual aid.

Glad everyone likes it.
Since I'll be running vintage club events at first not that concerned about SCCA.
Piece is actually SCCA just modified.

I'm at Barber this weekend - I'm playing with mods to the PFM head surround also. Needed to take up space behind the head and around the sides. Initial trial piece is working pretty good, will make it more permanent and post pictures in a few weeks. I think my final piece will be made from yoga block, carved to shape. It will just insert inside of the original head surround.
