    Default Swift/Spectrum - Doug Voss - Jermey Grenier -

As part of the trip this past weekend to Summit Point (our first time there - a very neat place) and as a kind of reward we decided to let Jason drive a newer car - I knew going in it was like having Jason have a date with Captain of the Cheerleaders, inviting over the local drug dealer, etc. (fill in the appropriate metaphor as you deem proper),

I our case it was Ski Motorsports with Jeremy Grenier (more on this dude later) and his accomplice, Doug Voss !!!

Doug was kind enough to make a great deal for us to race his car, a Honda Spectrum and the car was impeccably prepared by Jeremy whose shop is right at the track - (driving out of the shop, along local in-track roads about a mile to the grid was, just way too kool - like when the cars pitted in town for the Watkins Glen GP and drove up the hills to the circuit !! -- yep, look it up).

Methodically - and in each session Jason carefully increased speed- Jeremy was a GREAT COACH and kept pushing him further and further using Jeremy's own in car video - the car had a Motec system but we did not bring computer so his reviews were not only very very welcome but extremely helpful.

By Saturday's Race Jason was going respectable - while he he did not fit well and had trouble shifting (his seating position - NOT the car) he got down to a 1:16.79 (I think -my watch). Thanks and a great shout out to Doug Voss - deeply appreciated

Now Jeremy - he was NOT very nice while racing - set a record of 1:14.932 (I think -my watch) - he did not just win, he did not just beat the field - he humiliated every one !!!

I know there will be a new thread about who will win the runoffs soon on this board but after seeing Jeremy's preparation of his Citation, watching him drive around Summit with such "soft hands" at all the corners as I had time to watch - my early pic ?

Jeremy Grenier at the front of the pack - Laguna Seca 2014
