    Default F500 - sold

I have decided to sell my F500 and possibly move to an F600. The car was first built and raced successfully By a fellow Waterford racer Randy Smith. I believe he won the championship at least once with the car. Its a one off ,but an excellent car and one that can win again. The reason I am selling is that I have not been very successful running it partly because these cars are equipped with a two stroke snowmobile motor and I don't have any knowledge on the clutching and have had a difficult time getting help. The car comes with two sets of tires and all the parts that I have ; a clutch two gears,3 belts, tools for for clutch assembly. The car just received new set of breaks, new rear axel and hub and new tires. Always maintained properly and race ready. I have the log book and photos. Please fell free to call for additional information. willing to help with delivery.

    Mo,
Photos will help, especially without the bodywork. What is your price?
Is converting this one to a F600 something to consider?

    HTH,
    Jim

The engine bay is too short to make enough room. It might be done with a complete new rear frame and with a jackshaft, but what a pain.

It is actually a pretty tidy car.

What size driver would fit? I'm on the fence between a new car or spending a bunch of money on my FV (which is more of an interference fit)

I would think up to six feet should be fine.

Ya, almost as much work as converting a Formula SuperVee with a watercooled VW engine and a Hewland transaxle into a Formula S with a Suzuki Hayabusa & Variloc diff.

Looking at the pictures the engine looks like a 494 and an AAEN pipe. There should be a name plate next to the recoil that should show what the displacement is. The 494 is a rotary valve engine, the 493 is a read valve engine.

This car has a 494. The pipe was built by the previous owner, it looks like an Aaen.

    Congrats!

We have a very good group of 7 or 8 cars that race regularly at the Waterford track. Hope to see you there.
