We are having another F1200 event at CTMP (Mosport) this coming weekend. There will be a full test day Friday prior to the weekend if anyone is looking for some extra seat time.
If any of our fellow US FV racers are interested in trying the series out I have a spare rim & tire package available along with our stock intake that you are welcome to for the weekend no charge to test the waters. Last event we had 21 F1200's, so lots of cars to run with throughout the field.
Good work Shane! That is great to see you guys having that many entrants. Sounds like you guys will be busy all weekend with that many cars to look after.
As long as everyone plays nice out there, I think we will be ok. There has been a lot of excellent, hard racing out there for the first few weekends of racing. Let's see that trend continue!
Well it has been changing daily, its that kind of weather pattern at the moment,I check it daily starting 2 weeks from the event and it has changed to our benefit the last lot of races, but this time it looksnot
This is a shout out to all the racers and support teams that helped me out after "the flip".
Big thanks to Phil Wang and Sam Ashtiani for stopping at the scene and righting the car. You can imagine the incident was bad enough, but sitting upside down thinking about what can happen next (another impact, fire, etc) is much worse.
Thanks to AVR (especially Jonathon and Shane) for their supreme effort to get the car fixed. I was resigned to ending my weekend after the incident. They assembled enough parts to make it work. I really needed to get back out, or I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be racing anymore...ever.
Big thanks to Bill Vallis, the crew at Rice Racing and the Kapelke's, and whoever else stepped up but I may have missed. We spent the rest of the weekend chasing down problems on the car, but I feel pretty good that everything was sorted by the end of the day Sunday.
My neck is sore and I have a lingering headache, but everything seems to be working ok.
My arm restraints saved me a broken arm. No doubt about it. I'm not advocating anything here, just saying it was $40 well spent.
glad to hear everything worked out about as good as it could after what happened.
sorry we did not have the resources to help you out with much, as always many others did which is just so nice to hear.
i'm a fan of the arm restraints. i've been using them for a while just incase and would highly recommend them escpecially when they do not cost very much.
when properly set you dont even know you have them.
i had a tough weekend but compared to what you went through gives a little perspective for me.

It was definitely a busy one for the AVR team this past weekend. We had a all time high 5 cars racing in the weekend, and not one of them made it through cleanly...
Thursday night - punctured truck tire found at 11pm. Good luck finding service at that time
Friday - Blown motor in #24 car
Saturday - As mentioned above, Kevin in #67 car climbed up our #24 car after being hit from behind and landed rubber up. Took the rest of the weekend to finally get it right.
Sunday - #25 car stuffed it hard in turn three caused by a sheared tie rod bolt...#27 car tagged the wall hard in turn 5...#22 car came together with another car in 5 and finished the race in third with a flat tire, bent tie rod and very bent spindle.
Sunday night - to top off the lovely weekend, our only piece of equipment to make it out alive, the trailer, shredded a tire on the highway 5km from the shop.
Last thing to mention, every one of our cars started every session on Saturday and Sunday despite all the issues. We wouldn't have been able to do it without the help from other teams and drivers around the paddock. I have never seen such a friendly group of drivers who are also so competitive. It truely is like a big family out there.
