    Default CFF Gingerman

Although the car count was low (1), Phil Kingham set a new track record on his way to winning(?) both days this past weekend at Gingerman. Great drive Phil!

    Thanks, Bill. Nice Pic!

The CFF turnout was a little, uh, disappointing, but it was good to get back out on track. It also turned out to be a good low-key event to sort out an oil leak.

The weather was great, not too warm, sun bright for good tire grip. A few other drivers /classes set records along with Phil. For those of you who weren't ready to race yet, you missed a very nice couple of days.

Mike, I didn't beat your time by much on Saturday (1:43.5), but that was the 18th heat cycle on the tires and they were beyond hope. On Sunday I switched to 12 heat cycle tires and barely got into the 1:39.9 range in the race (those tires are junk, too). There's still room for improving the record, though, as I ran 1:38.5 in qualifying and on a previous visit I got down to 1:37.7.
