I am in need of retro-fitting an effective sound reducing device (a.k.a. Muffler) to 1975 Chevron FA car. Breaks my heart to alter that gorgeous exhaust note but we cannot wake the late sleepers here in the NW.
Anyone have recommendation(s)? Super trap w/out baffles? Easiest would be to mount a 2.5" long cylindrical low restriction muffler replacing the the high mount tail-pipe mounted after the header 4 into 1 collector.
I shall apprecuiate any feedback you may have.
BTW: Have my 3 race since new FA Swift 008 / 014 for sale, everything fresh - 0 time.
Try Burns Stainless 949-631-5120// vince@burnsstainless.com. Probably about $300.00 to your front door. BTW, SOVREN pays for a sound waiver for high performance racers at Portland,Seattle,Spokane. Muffler not requird at "the Ridge". Put "Burns Stainless" in Google, you'll be impressed.

Is that true? I thought Burns claimed they made those mufflers.
Unless something has changed in the last two years. Historically alot of Burns cataloged items are sub-contracted out.

Ok, I have no knowledge to dispute that, just a vague recollection of reading something about Burns claiming that they made the mufflers and the merge collectors. Could be a completely fabricated memory.
