Default Magnesium Scrap

Got several bent magnesium wheel halves - do I just take them to my local scrap yard or city recycling center? Or are they worth money?

All are outer wheel halves - funny how the inners never seem to get bent!

I had some destroyed Tecno's and scrapped em. All I got was aluminum price, and as light as they are it wasn't much. I think 65c per # !

I take scrap to my local scrap yard and they sort exactly by what it is: scrap motors are one price, steel another, wire another, stripped wire different, etc, etc.

I go to Gasper Metals down here in Milan but there are good scrap yards all over town. Call around and tell them what you have and ask what they are paying. It's worth the call.

Tom - the wheel fairy wasn't interested since they came off a Lola not a March.

Dave - I just did that this morning - looks like I could get maybe $5! Hardly worth the bother. It's hard to be good!
