    Default April Action-For Mr. Landon

Wankers in action...Marshall9 and Tim H....two well off guys that don't know how to drive, out having fun. We don't need Mr. Landon's blessing, he can stay in Ft. Lauderdale, if he doesn't think we should be on the track, wasting perfectly good race cars.

Gotta work on my hand position, though. Bondurant taught me the preturn shuffle and I don't have enough elbow room to do a a real race-driver crossup like I do in my street car. Maybe if I remove a couple of frame tubes...

Maybe if I borrow Marshall's semi rig I can bring a couple of karts, too.

    Default Tires?

What tire are you guys running? I assume it is a spec tire for your racing sanction?

Spec is the Yokohama A048 they used to run for SRF, or the Toyo Proxes R888 used in Canada and being considered for the pro tour here. Some suspect the Toyo is a second/lap or so slower, but data is for now lacking. Both choices are very forgiving, long-lived, and tend to equalize the cars significantly. I can recommend them without reservation.

Did I hear you bought the Vector? Gorgeous car at a good price.

I can just about guarantee you will have fun no matter what you drive. Especially at AMP.

Default Scott King & Burky's Old Car

Qualified 13 of 33 in Montreal today. Not bad for an old Club Ford...

Jim Edmonds must have had some problem that doesn't show on the limited MyLaps chart, and it looks like Mark Powell barely got off the grid. And is Rob Ashley back in the Zink?

They updated the Qualifying timesheet with actual lap times, and I'm afraid none of our group did very well. I'd hoped to get back and delete my post before anybody noticed my error, but of course Mike is on top of everything ApexSpeed.

    Apologies..

I'd still wager everyone's having fun.

I'm not sure where the three of use ended up in qualifying, I know towards the back. BUT, wow what a great experience to be here with F1 and lining up in the hot pits with all of the F1 teams still there working on their cars.

I count only 6 Ford powered cars in the paddock. Every other car is part of a very serious Honda powered fully supported race team, dedicated mechanic or two per car, corner balance every session, etc, etc. This is the big leagues of FF racing.

    Never mind, found it http://www.siteformulatour1600.com/

It does appear that a Ford is up front though. Also, it's a Vector....you can do it Mark !
