Default Help me with a car shipment

Please help, I need to get a car shipped. I'm not asking about a domestic shipment. For that I use United Routes and I am extremely pleased with the service they provide time and time again for a very competitive price.

Rather I am asking how I can send a car to my son in Montreal. United Routes only does domestic. Anyone here know of a company who goes North of the border? Anyone have experiences they can share with shipping a car to/from Canada?

Please dont suggest having him pick it up at the border or transferring to a Canadian shipping company at the border, I'd feel more comfortable just dealing with a single company

Thanks

you might try BATS motorsports. http://www.batsmotorsports.com

They are a small company, so their schedule can vary a bit, but overall I found them easy to work with.

Try this sight, great prices from competitive bidding

I also use these guys for collectable cars, not the cheapest, but a great carrier. They also ship in and out of Canada.

If the car is a street car, hire someone to drive it to montreal and fly home.

If its a street car there is an immense amount of paperwork to do in advance, including getting copies of all documents (bill of sale, title, proof of lien release, etc) to both the USA and Canadian Customs at the designated border crossing a minimum of three days in advance of the car arriving at the border.

If you're just sending it up to him in a "just lending it to him for a while" arrangement, forget it, it'll never get by Canadian Customs. He'll need to drive it across himself.

(lived in Montreal most of my life; imported several cars, had a couple rejected too)
