That video was made about 8-9 years ago and ( as far as I know) available to view on the Hyperco web site. (That's my ugly fingers holding the vernier.) We are planning on producing a new version for the upcoming PRI show.
What that video doesn't show is the extreme angle that some springs can produce at really high loads - for most of the Indy car custom perches, we have had to increase the available angle of tilt a bit because the standard 4 degree perch designs were bottoming out. When that happens, all sorts of extra side load is produced, and the perch walls start hitting each other and wearing out really fast. Not good!

The video poster - Minoruinternational - is our Japanese supplier to the Japanese street hot rod market. Took 8 years to break into that market, and I am now have a hard time keeping up with their demand. Pretty amazing what those guys will put on a street car!
Is the rebuild frequency really around 8 hours?
Rebuild frequency can vary greatly depending on conditions of operation. Excessive heat, dirty enviroments, etc, will decrease seal life considerably. We see the very top end guy rebuilding every weekend, and we've seen them go a whole season (and more), and we've seen them need rebuilding after 8 hours. As a manufacturer, we make recommendations on the conservative side. As a racer using them, it would be wise to set your initial rebuild frequency on the conservative side at the start ( 10-12 hours) and see how worn the seals are, and adjust the rebuild time accordingly.
