    Default Tilton Toyota Atlantic Flywheel

Sorry to barge in on your forum. I have a GT3 Toyota Paseo powered by a Toyota Atlantic Engine. I am in need of a replacement flywheel. I understand it is a Tilton peice made for the Atlantics, but is discontinued. It is a 90 tooth flywheel. 9 inch diameter. Here are two pictures of what I am looking for. Thank you for any help. mark http://www.teamlox.com/toyota%20flywheel.htm

What are the numbers stamped on the crankshaft side?

This looks like a 'pot style' carbon clutch flywheel.

I have a Quartermaster version for the Cosworth available. They probably do not interchange, but you might try Quartermaster as a source.

I am pretty sure Hasselgren has them on the shelf.

Hasselgren may have them from a while ago. That one is not the one used on the Swift 008 or 014. Arnie Loyning may have some, too.

Mark, that is neither a Ralt RT-40/41 nor Swift Atlantic 008/014 flywheel, though it may be a Don Preston GT flywheel. Give him a call.

It's possible it is a DB-4 flywheel as the starter was placed very close to the block and (I believe) required a smaller flywheel than a standard 7.25" clutch unit.

Preston will be able to tell you with that number.

    I have one.The # on the back is 50-5004 and 90/37.
the other dimension to match is from the crank side to the clutch disk surface
and the crank side to the teeth.

The number is not clear on this one, but I am thinking from the old description on taylor's website it is a 5004. The starter fits very close to the block on the intake side. It fits so tight, the block needed to be relieved for the starter to fit up. There is money under the flywheel. The person who took the picture thought it was funny. Since I am out a forged crank and flywheel because the shop supplied the wrong flywheel bolts, I dont' see the humor myself. Bsunier, is this flywheel you have, something you want to part with? If so email me at nospam@bocafed.org I can make the measurement from the crank surface to the clutch surface. Seems it was between 3/4 and 7/8ths of an inch. I have not called hasselgren or loyning. I have a number for loyning, but not for hasselgren. Don Preston does not have one, they are using a completely new setup based on a tilton bellhousing kit. Thank you everyone for the replies. mark

I believe we have a flywheel like this in our spares kit.

I'm headed to the shop and will post photos later today.
