Default 1982 Van Dieman Formula Ford for sale

Jim Lyon (True Design Wheels in Wheatridge, Colorado) has a 1982 Van Dieman VD-82 available for sale. Hasn't been raced in a while, is dirty, but engine "runs" and the car seems to be all there. It belonged to his father-in-law and was, he thinks, originally raced by Mike Potenken (Now doing Pro Mazda) at one point. Chassis #660. Don't know what he's asking, but probably cheap. Call Jim Lyon at 303-422-5090 if interested.

Oops. Wrong info on my part. The RF-82 is (unfortunately) is not a club ford. It is a FF because it has inboard suspension on both ends. A limbo car in that it must be classed with contemporary FFs. It can run as a FF with SCCA, but it is at a disadvantage to the Swifts.

Default RF82 could be a club ford in RMDiv

    Hi Robert,

If the car stays in the Rocky Mountain Division it could be a club ford. Anything built prior to 1984 with exception of Swift is now allowed as a club ford. Inboard or outboard no longer matters. Hope it stays in the division . There are more then 50 FFords in the Rockies, it sure would be nice to get them (us) out in one venue or another!!

    Default CF in the Rockies

Ed--so an '83 Reynard can run CF, but an 84 Reynard must run FF? Interesting, especiallly since the cars are the same...
